About Us

Why Is Trump Wrong Today (WITWT) was established to combat the "post-truth" political stylings of the alt-right. We aim, instead of using fake news or sensationalized imaginings, to use carefully considered research from a range of respectable sources to critically examine the current administration. Instead of fighting fire with fire, we hope those who oppose Trump will fight it with water, and we want WITWT to be a place where that happens.

Liz Laurie (Staff Writer) is getting her Ph.D. in Theatre and Drama at Northwestern University after receiving her MA in Theatre from Hunter College. She is currently working on a soundwalks project that explores street harassment, and she writes a regular column about television and representation for The Clyde Fitch Report. She has a soft spot for fictional sociopaths and can smell a warm baked good at a hundred paces.
